Privacy

Beurt is a chore rota for shared houses. This page explains exactly what it stores about you and what it never does.

What we store

Who can see it

What we don’t do

Who processes it for us

Beurt runs on Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in the EU) and is served by our hosting provider. If the chore-list reader is switched on, the chore text you type at setup is sent once to Anthropic’s API to turn it into structured chores; it is not used to train models. That is the only time your data leaves for a third party, and it never includes your name or email.

How long we keep it

Your data stays while your account exists. When you leave a home you are removed from its rota; when the last person leaves, the home is deleted outright. Deleting your account removes your profile, your photo and your membership of every home immediately.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can see, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can do yourself on the account page — change your name or photo, or delete your account entirely. For anything else, or to request a copy of your data, email info@onzebeurt.nl and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

Beurt is meant for students and adults sharing a home. It is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
